I recently coined the word neobari (“new tying”) as a name for any kind of bondage and ropework that combines eastern and western influences.

Neobari has a website of its own <www.neobari.com> and a successful group on FetLife <www.fetlife.com>. Although it started off as at least 50% a joke, it’s acquired a bit of a momentum and maybe the word will become established.

Of course “neobari” is pretty much the same idea as “fusion bondage”. I registered the fusionbondage.com domain a few years ago with the intent of making a site about east and west and putting them together, but Convolvulus got more demanding of time and it never happened.

Until now.

So call it Fusion Bondage or Neobari, it really doesn’t matter. But because of the domain name, on this site it’s Fusion Bondage.
